SkoolSwap (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the SkoolSwap mobile application and website at skoolswap.co.za. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect your information.
Item information (price, photo, description), payment status, escrow confirmation, PIN verification logs, payout status to seller.
No banking card data is stored by SkoolSwap — payments are handled by external payment providers.
We use your information to: create and manage your account; allow buying and selling; secure payments with an escrow/PIN system; prevent fraud; enable chat; improve app performance; provide customer support; show relevant marketplace content.
We only share data with: payment providers; Firebase / Cloudflare; schools (if reporting fraud or misuse, when required); law enforcement (when legally required). We never sell personal data.
Data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. Passwords are never visible to us. Chat messages and transaction logs are encrypted. Escrow PINs cannot be restored or viewed by staff.

The app is intended for parents and school communities, not children under 13.
