• Using the correct school, category, and size where applicable.

Do not use misleading descriptions or edited images that misrepresent the item.

2. Treat Others with Respect

All users should communicate respectfully.

Do not:

• Harass or intimidate others.
• Use abusive or offensive language.
• Threaten violence.
• Bully or discriminate against anyone.
• Send unwanted or repeated messages.

Respectful communication helps keep SkoolSwap safe for everyone.

3. Sell Only Items You Have the Right to Sell

You must own the item or have permission to sell it.

Do not list:

• Stolen goods.
• Counterfeit products.
• Items that infringe another person's intellectual property.
• Lost-and-found property that does not belong to you.

4. Use Real Photos

Photos should:

• Show the actual item.
• Be clear and well lit.
• Accurately represent the item's condition.

Avoid:

• Images copied from online stores.
• Watermarked images you do not own.
• Images unrelated to the listing.
• Misleading edits or filters.

5. Keep Listings Relevant

SkoolSwap is designed for school communities.

Examples of suitable items include:

• School uniforms
• Sports uniforms
• School shoes
• Textbooks
• Stationery
• Backpacks
• Calculators
• Musical instruments
• Sports equipment
• School accessories

Listings unrelated to education or school life may be removed.

6. Complete Transactions Through SkoolSwap

Where secure payments and escrow are available, buyers and sellers should complete transactions through the Platform.

Attempting to bypass Platform fees or payment protections may result in account action.

7. Meet Safely

If collecting an item in person:

• Meet in a public place.
• Avoid carrying unnecessary cash.
• Inspect the item before confirming receipt.
• Bring another adult if possible.

SkoolSwap cannot supervise meetings between users.

8. Respect School Communities

School names help users find relevant listings.

Do not:

• Pretend to represent a school.
• Misuse school logos or branding.
• Claim endorsement by a school unless authorized.

9. Report Problems

Help keep the community safe by reporting:

• Fraudulent listings.
• Counterfeit items.
• Harassment.
• Suspicious behaviour.
• Scam attempts.
• Inappropriate content.

False or malicious reports may themselves violate these Guidelines.

10. Protect Your Privacy

Never publicly share sensitive personal information such as:

• Identity numbers
• Banking details
• Passwords
• One-time passwords (OTPs)
• Verification codes

Use the Platform responsibly and protect your account credentials.

11. Keep Communication Appropriate

Messages should relate to the transaction.

Do not use SkoolSwap messaging to:

• Send spam.
• Advertise unrelated products or services.
• Request personal financial information.
• Harass or intimidate other users.

12. Consequences of Violations

Depending on the seriousness or frequency of a violation, SkoolSwap may:

• Remove a listing.
• Issue a warning.
• Restrict account features.
• Suspend an account.
• Permanently terminate an account.
• Report unlawful activity to the relevant authorities where required by law.

13. Working Together

Every user contributes to making SkoolSwap a trusted marketplace.
